Do Something About Your Looks

Sharing is caring!

Everybody wants flawless skin and we have tried every product available to achieve beautiful skin, but sometimes nothing appears to work. However, the following tips may help you tackle your skin issue and help you get that glowing skin you have always dreamt of.

Know what your skin needs

One of the most important things before you start your skincare journey is to understanding and getting to know your skin type. Many people are unaware and misinformed. They use products and do things that are actually bad for their skin. Using the wrong products can compromise your skin’s natural balance and cause irritation, inflammation, breakouts, and premature aging. The most common skin types are dry, oily, acne-prone, sensitive, and mature. There are also people with combination skin, meaning they have more than one of a skin type on their face, usually in different areas. For instance, the areas around your T-Zone is oily, but your cheek is dry. Note that your skin type can change over time as you age or change with the season.

Once you know your skin type, learn what your skin issue is. Whether it’s hyperpigmentation, acne, fine line, or you just want to maintain your already beautiful skin, use skin care products that are made specifically for your skin type. For example, if you have dry skin, look for products that contain hyaluronic acid and ceramides, but if you have oily skin, gel and oil-free products are good options. People with acne-prone skin might want to stay away from products with alcohol, heavy oils, fragrance, or petrolatum. If needed, go see a dermatologist to learn more about what your skin actually needs.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen should be your best friend. No matter what your skin type is, what your skin problems are, and how old you are, SPF is key. It is the most important skincare step because it protects you from free radical damage that can cause early signs of aging, burns, and worse, skin cancer. Sunlight is the cause of around 80 percent of the signs of aging, including skin thinning, wrinkles, facial lines. Even when your skincare regimen is already amazing, without a good sunscreen, you will never achieve that flawless skin you have always dreamt of. Use a minimum of SPF 25 and “broad-spectrum” sunscreen that can block UVA and UVB light. UVA causes aging and UVB causes burns. Remember to reapply it to your face, neck, and body every two hours and try to avoid direct sunlight between 10 am to 4 pm when the UV rays are the strongest. Also remember that even when it’s cold or cloudy outside, doesn’t mean you don’t have to wear sunscreen because sun damage can still happen even when it’s dark outside.

Double cleanse

Double cleansing may sound new. It’s a Korean-beauty hack that many people love and has transformed people’s skin. Throughout the day (and sometimes when you’re sleeping at night), airborne bacteria and pollution are attracted to your skin. They could potentially contribute to breakouts, aging, and pigmentation if they’re not washed properly. Double cleansing is the best way to stop it from happening. Double cleansing involves cleansing oil, balm or micellar water as the first cleanse to break down make-up, SPF, as well as sebum, and followed by a deep water-based cleanse as the second cleanser. This routine can remove sweat, bacteria, and old skin cells because the second round of cleansing can clean much deeper into your pores to remove any impurities. A thoroughly clean base will make your nighttime skincare routine be more effective.

Facelift

When no amount of skincare products can seem to do anything to your face or you want a faster, long-lasting effect, opt for cosmetic procedures and treatments. If you aim to make your face look more youthful, a facelift might be the right procedure for you. It can remove excess skin from your face and smooth wrinkles. It can also reduce droopy cheeks around the jawline, lift the corner of the mouth, and reduce creases between the cheeks and lips. Choose the best surgeon that can sculpt, remove, or redistribute the fat in your face and skin perfectly. During the surgery, your surgeon lifts the skin off the deeper facial muscles and fat, and then they will gently pull the skin in an upward direction, and remove the excess skin. Your surgeon will strategically place the incisions so people won’t be able to notice them, and the effects appear more natural. Before the surgery, your overall medical history will be reviewed. It is not recommended for people with serious medical problems. After the surgery, you may feel some discomfort and bruise, but the result will give your face and neck a more youthful look.

Liposuction

Unwanted fats can make your body contour look unflattering. If you’re not a fan of exercise or diet, liposuction may be the perfect treatment for you. It can remove stubborn fat cells and enhance the shape of your body. The procedure can be done on your face, hips, belly, thighs, buttocks, back, or arms. You can undergo liposuction and go home on the same day. Liposuction works best for people with good skin tone and elasticity, and the result will alter and improve your appearance significantly.

Besides all of those cosmetic procedures and skincare routines, you should also remember to keep your body healthy. Take care of your diet, drink plenty of water, and have a regular sleep cycle. Without taking care of your overall health, no matter what you do will never give you that clear and beautiful skin you always wanted to have.
